Did you know that 67% of our workforce is overweight or obese? Obesity and other health risks are a large financial strain on businesses across the U.S. We worked with Public Heath Institute (PHI) to raise awareness of these facts, while also presenting simple preventative care options in the workplace and community. It’s interesting stuff. Take a look!
PSI 2013 Progress Report
PSI is one of the world’s largest NGOs, working on issues of health care in the developing world. We worked with them to create a 2013 progress report, highlighting the accomplishments of the previous year. We combined infographic elements with photography from the field and in-depth written content to produce a report that is engaging and informative. Of the many staggering statistics in the report, the number most illustrative of PSI’s activity in 2012 is the addition of 35.2 million years of healthy life.
Taxpayers for Common Sense
Laws and sausages are known as two things you don’t want a behind the scenes view of. However, sometimes a critical eye has to fall upon the ways in which spending bills are cobbled together. Taxpayers for Common Sense found a number of defense spending allocations that struck them as anything but common sense, and asked us to create an infographic highlighting some of the more confusing requests.
Full Circle Fund
Full Circle Fund brings together talented professionals to identify and help grow innovations in the field of philanthropy. For the third year in a row we branded and designed the materials for their annual fundraising gala, Ignite. This event raises funds and brings in a new batch of professionals looking to use their talents for the greater good.
Food Lifeline provides 82,000 meals a day to local food assistance programs and works to shape policies that seek a sustainable approach to hunger. We created an infographic highlighting the more than 300,000 missing meals that occur from gaps in food assistance programs, primarily for the working poor. FLL will use this infographic to gather resources and shape policies that seek to ameliorate this widespread problem.
The Packard Foundation funds a number of organizations that are working to preserve island ecosystems – where 43% of the Earth’s endangered animals live. This infographic shows how the removal of invasive species can bring balance back to threatened ecosystems.
Stone Soup organizes professional talent to produce pro-bono films to help non-profits communicate more effectively. We worked with them to create a new website that showcases their films, while encouraging skilled volunteers to lend their services to these important projects.

Feronia Forests acquires and sustainably manages natural forest properties in the United States. They approach conservation in an innovative way, looking for sustainable ways to produce economic value as opposed to relying only on widespread clear cutting. We worked with Feronia to create an infographic that allows them to discuss some of their innovative approaches with future investors.
FSG: The International NGO of the Future
FSG partners with foundations, nonprofits, corporations and governments to find effective solutions to the world’s most pressing social problems. In order to influence leaders in the international NGO community to think proactively about the future, Elefint worked with FSG to develop an interactive one-page website and a corresponding print report that tell the story of how NGOs will need to adapt to succeed in the future.

We teamed up with SOCAP for their 13th conference, to create a conference logo, theme icons, facebook slider images, a program book, and infographics. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a humanitarian and spiritual leader spearheading so many causes and initiatives that its an incredible challenge just to keep track of it all. We worked with his office to organize his initiatives into key categories, and to build a new website that would effectively communicate all this important activity.

The Packard Foundation needed an elegant and concise way to communicate a summary of its 2012 activities, including its focus areas and details of its investments. We worked with them to create this multipage 2012 at-a-glance print report.
Can annual reports be fun? Every year Volunteer Match comes up with a new way to present their data for the last year in a way that is fun and engaging. We had a great time creating this 3-D art infographic for them. With so many things to communicate in such a small space, we used visual metaphors (sea, air, land, signs) to separate the data and create a rich but digestible picture.
Foundation Center / BMAfunders
We worked closely with the Foundation Center to produce a highly visual and data-driven report surrounding black male achievement. Nearly every major indicator of economic, social and physical well-being shows that African American men and boys in the U.S. do not have access to opportunities and support needed to thrive. This multi-page report is part of an on-going effort to raise awareness about the needs and issues surrounding this demographic.
National Council of Nonprofits
National Council of Nonprofits helps organizations across the country navigate important issues facing the social sector. We created a new brand identity and supporting collateral including business cards, letterhead and templates for their newsletters and multi-page reports.
Best Friends Animal Society
Best Friends Animal Society has a strong no-kill mission, working to make animal executions a thing of the past. They needed a multi-page interactive infographic on their website to illustrate details about the problem of animal executions and what they are doing in coordination with their partners to address the issue.

Who’s Responsible for the U.S. Debt Ceiling?
A few summers ago there was an abundance of talk about the debt ceiling, so we wanted to take a look at how we got here. While political parties play the blame game, the facts paint a more complicated picture. They data shows that both parties have presided over huge increases and decreases in our national debt, and that events like World War 2 and periods of recession have often been far more important than party ideology.
Clinton Global Initiative
The Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS), is a unique collaboration between four UC campuses, connecting researchers from a broad range of disciplines to spark innovation. Elefint worked with CITRIS to create a one-page scrolling site that highlights the organization’s unique approach, focus areas, research facilities, key success stories and partners.

Dientes is a community dental clinic in Santa Cruz, a town with a special place in our hearts. As Dientes continued to expand, it faced a number of opportunities that it wanted to get right. We worked with them to figure out where their efforts were best applied, and then developed a series of marketing messages, a new visual identity and website.
